What is daibetes?

What is daibetes? First of all, a quick bit of background on the tiny sperm we all have in our bodies: Researchers have long known that sperm is a spermatophore, and that each of the hundreds of millions of sperm cells released into a female’s reproductive tract are tethered to a feathery, vase-shaped adhesive called a “tail.” These tethers help sperm pass through the uterine walls and other body barriers, particularly for larger, faster-moving swimmers such as the A-type or S-type sperm. Most researchers know that sperm is often lost before they can get to the egg. What is the daibetes? A light-based, chemical-based, physical biodegradable noninvasive method developed by researchers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for noninvasively capturing sperm in high density and thus aiding in human fertility. These scientists had been working for three years on this single sperm-capturing device to determine if it could facilitate the research of infertility in humans. Worth. What is? So to sum up: The daibetes is a slim, “metallic mesh” bracelet that can capture high density, A-type sperm, which are found in good numbers in men. The daibetes wirelessly transmits information on the quality of captured sperm, allowing the researchers to determine which DNA of the men’s sperm is the best quality to be used in future human insemination. The daibetes device has taken numerous tests to make sure it doesn’t interfere with the ability to perform inseminations and the sperm in use is safe for use in future treatments. For those of you who don’t want to read an abstract, the scientists have been able to significantly increase the number of successful human inseminations and are now trying to test the daibetes in animals for long term health. We’re not exactly sure how much longer it’ll take, but it’s safe to say a few more years will go by before we see the daibetes inside a woman and maybe even on the market. If you can’t wait that long, maybe the daibetes is something you’ll be able to buy someday. The prototype can be found on the website here.
